GET READY FOR RALLY: The Hillside Guide For Adelaide Rally Spectators
The 2025 Adelaide Rally is officially the biggest closed-road tarmac motoring event in the world. Mille Miglia? Tame in comparison. Targa? Not on our level. Adelaide is truly punching above its weight with this year’s iteration of the globally renowned Rally, meaning there’s a ridiculous amount of things to see and do across the course of the three day event. Don’t fret though; the Hillside Auto team is here to help plan out your weekend. This thoughtfully curated itinerary provides Adelaide Rally spectators a stress-free guide on where to watch, what to look out for and suggestions on how to fit in non-motorsport related activities into your schedule.
Day One, Friday 21st of November
Day One of the 2025 Adelaide Rally kicks off with a bang, taking to the foothills just minutes away from the Adelaide CBD before winding deep through the Adelaide Hills. The first day of action invites spectators to the infamous Stafford Hillclimb stage for a dedicated Spectator Stage, with facilities and viewing areas available at the Fox Creek/Coldstore/Croft Road intersection. Watch the Rally field get hard on the brakes as they swing left and up the hill, while enjoying the picnic-like atmosphere of Day One’s dedicated Spectator Stage. Afterwards, make the short drive to one of the great wineries in the close vicinity, such as Anderson Hill or Pike & Joyce and soak up the Spring sun. To view location, click here.

Take an early morning drive through Stirling, Aldgate and Echunga to make your way to the regional town of Strathalbyn, before taking a stroll through the beautiful parks and historic streets. While the locality is regularly a peaceful place, the Adelaide Rally switches it up for a day, with two stages and a lunch stop occurring within the confines of the town centre. The field of cars will sprint in to town, completing the first loop of the street circuit at 10.40am, before they return to Strathalbyn for a Lunch stop half an hour later. This is another perfect opportunity to mix and mingle with the cars, enjoy local displays and vendors, and chat with entrants. At 1.30pm, the flag will wave once again, and the cars will complete another loop around the town stage before continuing on their way, signaling you to venture back down the hill.
